I first started at Happy Critters Pet Grooming in 2011, while a student in a work program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Sandy the owner of Happy Critters took me under her wing and invited me to a work experience job in her shop, following the work program Sandy hired me to work with her as a groomer’s assistant in training. Sandy said she could tell I had a great love for the animals, and that they liked me too.
Pets have always been a part of my life while growing up, we always had two or three critters in our home and I loved them all. I knew I wanted to work with pets at an early age and so when this opportunity came up I was so very excited to be able to work with Sandy, she is a wonderful mentor and I love every minute of every day I am happy to come to work. Sandy keeps things fun and interesting too; she is providing ongoing training and support for me to be successful at what I love to do.
Pets are an important part of our lives both at home and at the shop. We both love it and we make a great team.
